It is twilight, the time between sleep and awake. The day seems new, bright and promising, then suddenly an invisible blanket falls on her and she feels what she has come to know as normal.
The feeling is always there and feels almost a part of her but today reveals that this is a separate thing. She feels the need to say the name of this thing out loud.
Someday, she will wake and never have this blanket of shame fall on her again.
